My trip to this city aimed to explore the historical sites in the Old Town area and sample its culinary delights, which are already legendary nationally. My visit lasted three days, with the main agenda being visiting city icons like Lawang Sewu and the Sam Poo Kong Temple. In terms of accessibility, Semarang is very easy to reach by both train and air. Public transportation within the city, such as the Trans Semarang bus, is quite adequate, although for flexibility, using online transportation remains the best option. The Old Town area is now much more organized and clean (resembling a European atmosphere), a stark contrast to what it was a few years ago.
