I will share my travel experience to Malang accompanied by a friendly and communicative tour guide from Malang Odyssey. The journey began from Balikpapan Airport to East Java. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the team from Malang Odyssey who helped organize the schedule and explained the series of activities during our stay in Malang. The trip continued by tourist bus to a restaurant and hotel for a short rest. From the beginning, the tour guide had already given us an overview of Malang City, which is famous for its cool weather and diverse tourist destinations, making the trip more organized and informative.

The next day started with breakfast at Bakso President, a legendary restaurant known for its distinctive and savory meatball soup, uniquely located near a railway track. After that, we visited Malang Night Paradise, a nighttime amusement park featuring beautifully arranged colorful lanterns that are perfect for photos. Inside, there is a dinosaur park area with large and realistic replicas, the Magic Journey boat ride with themed light decorations, and various family-friendly rides that made the evening atmosphere lively and enjoyable.

On the following day, we went swimming at Hawai Waterpark Malang, known as one of the largest waterparks in Malang. It features tall water slides that boost adrenaline, a wave pool that creates a beach-like experience, and wide, clean swimming areas that make the activity comfortable and exciting. The journey then continued to Kampoeng Heritage Kajoetangan, a historical tourism area with well-preserved colonial-style houses, narrow classic alleys, and photo spots that reflect the atmosphere of the past. In the afternoon, we stopped by Alun-Alun Kota Malang to enjoy the neatly arranged green city park, complete with seating areas, a fountain, and a magnificent grand mosque standing across from it, creating a peaceful and relaxing environment.

The next destination was Candi Singosari, a historical temple from the Singhasari Kingdom. The temple is made of andesite stone with distinctive carvings and a solid structure, giving us a clear picture of Hindu-Buddhist architecture in East Java during the ancient kingdom era. After that, we visited the Gangster Town zone inside Museum Angkut, a transportation museum that showcases classic cars, antique vehicles, and themed settings resembling old cities in America and Europe. The activities continued to the Floating Market area within the museum, where we rode a boat while exploring various traditional Indonesian snacks, and later relaxed at a rice field cafe with scenic green views and refreshing mountain air.

On the last day, the trip continued to Batu City by visiting Batu Secret Zoo, which has a wide collection of animals from different countries, clean and modern enclosures, and educational areas that provide information about animal habitats and behavior. At night, we had fun at Batu Night Spectacular, offering various amusement rides, a colorful lantern garden with unique shapes, and a modern night market atmosphere filled with culinary and entertainment options. Before returning to Balikpapan, we bought souvenirs and headed to Juanda Airport accompanied by the Malang Odyssey tour guide until the end of the trip. Overall, our trip to Malang with Malang Odyssey provided a complete travel experience by combining culinary exploration, history, education, and entertainment in one well-organized journey.
