MALANG ODYSSEY

Hello everyone! I just completed a five-day trip to Malang with the Malang Odyssey tour agency. This adventure began at Sepinggan Airport in Balikpapan, where I boarded a flight to Surabaya before finally traveling overland to Malang. Malang itself is a destination that consistently offers a combination of cool mountain air and exciting amusement parks. In this review, I will share my personal experience exploring every corner of this charming city.

 

 Overall, the destinations selected for this tour package were very satisfying and covered almost all the popular icons of Malang and Batu. However, I did experience some challenges with the communication with the tour guides on the ground. We often didn't know the estimated arrival time from one location to the next due to a lack of clear information. Furthermore, the guides spoke too quickly when explaining things, making it difficult for passengers to understand their instructions. Nevertheless, I still appreciate the hard work of the entire tour team, who consistently strived to provide friendly service throughout the trip.

 

This trip with Malang Odyssey began with a flight from Balikpapan to Surabaya. Upon arrival, we crossed the Suramadu Bridge and enjoyed a lunch of Bebek Sambal Pencit (Duck with Sambal Pencit) before resting at the Harris Hotel Malang. The second day was a truly enjoyable one, as I visited Hawai Waterpark for a swim, then continued to the Kayutangan Heritage area. On the third day, we explored the Lembah Tumpeng Resort, the educational Museum of Transportation, and went on a culinary adventure at Batu Floating Market. The fourth day was filled with a visit to Jatim Park 2 and concluded with the sparkling lights of Batu Night Spectacular. Finally, on the fifth day, we shopped for souvenirs before flying back to Balikpapan.

 

For me, Hawai Waterpark was a favorite destination because of its exciting water rides, and Bakso President was the ultimate culinary experience because of its delicious taste. Overall, Malang is the perfect place for a fun vacation. I highly recommend this itinerary

The journey started from Samarinda to Tanjung Batu by land, which took quite a long time, but it never felt tiring thanks to the beautiful natural scenery of East Kalimantan along the way. The journey started from Samarinda with the destination of the Derawan Islands, a tourist destination well known for its clear sea and beautiful natural scenery.
