Traveling is always an exciting way to gain new experiences and strengthen togetherness. This time, I joined a trip called Malang Odyssey, and it became one of the most memorable journeys I have ever had. The trip offered a complete experience, starting from city tours, culinary adventures, natural attractions, educational visits, to relaxing moments. Our journey began at Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport in Balikpapan. From there, we flew to Juanda International Airport in Surabaya. After arriving, we had a short city tour and crossed the iconic Suramadu Bridge. The view from the bridge was impressive and became a great start to our adventure. For lunch, we enjoyed delicious duck at Bebek Suramadu Sambal Pencit before continuing our trip to Malang.
Upon arriving in Malang, we checked in at HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Malang to rest. In the evening, we had dinner at Bakso President, a famous culinary spot located near the railway tracks. At night, we visited Malang Night Paradise, where we explored the lantern park, dinosaur park, and various night rides. The colorful lights created a magical atmosphere before we returned to the hotel to rest. The next day, we had fun at Hawai Waterpark, enjoying the swimming pools and water slides. After that, we had lunch at Ocean Garden. In the afternoon, we explored Kayutangan Heritage, an area filled with historical buildings and a classic atmosphere. At night, we had dinner at Pondok Desa Malang and took a relaxing walk around Alun-Alun Kota Malang, where we enjoyed various street foods before heading back to the hotel.
Another memorable day was spent at Lembah Tumpang Resort, where we enjoyed the hot spring pools, gardens, and unique photo spots. After that, we continued our Malang city trip and had lunch at Sambat Luwe. One of the most educational destinations was Museum Angkut, where we learned about transportation history and saw many classic vehicles. We also visited Batu Floating Market to try local food and buy souvenirs. In the evening, we had dinner at Resto Bu Atik and enjoyed the peaceful night view at Cafe Sawah Pujon Kidul before returning to the hotel.
The adventure continued at Jatim Park 2, where we explored educational attractions and animal exhibits. After lunch at Warung Wareg and some rest at the hotel, we enjoyed dinner at Soto Ayam Lombok. At night, we had an exciting time at Batu Night Spectacular, experiencing night rides and beautiful lantern parks.
On the last day, we visited a souvenir center to buy gifts for family and friends. After having lunch at Ayam Kremes Potre Koneng, we headed back to Juanda International Airport for our flight to Balikpapan. Finally, we arrived safely at Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport, marking the end of our Malang Odyssey. Malang Odyssey was an unforgettable journey filled with fun, learning, delicious food, and beautiful scenery. The itinerary was packed but well organized, allowing us to experience the best of Malang and Batu. Although we felt tired at times, the happiness and memories we gained were truly worth it. Therefore, I would give this trip a rating of 9 out of 10.
