MALANG ODYSSEY

Malang is located in East Java Province, Indonesia. It is the second largest city in East Java after Surabaya and is one of the major cities in Indonesia. Malang is known for its cool climate, natural attractions, amusement parks, and unique culinary delights.

 

The journey began by plane from Balikpapan Airport to Malang. Upon arrival in Malang, we continued by bus to enjoy culinary delights at Maduran Culinary, including fried tempeh. Then, we headed to our hotel for check-in. We then dined at Bakso President and visited Malang Night Paradise, which offers a fun nightlife experience, before returning to rest. During our stay in Malang, we also visited Hawai Waterpark Malang for swimming, the historic Kampoeng Heritage Kajoetangan, and the Malang Town Square for a relaxing stroll. The journey continued to car and airplane showrooms, the Floating Market for rowing and dining, and the Sawah Cafe.  We also visited the museum to see animals, the Batu Secret Zoo to see unique animals, the Harris Hotel Convention Center, dined at Warung Areg and Soto Ayam Lombok Malang, and enjoyed rides at Batu Night Spectacular. Before leaving, we bought souvenirs at Malang Strudel, ate again at Bakso President, then headed to Juanda International Airport, enjoyed snacks and coffee before finally flying back to Balikpapan.

 

This trip provided a diverse range of travel experiences, from culinary tours, amusement parks, historical tours, and a modern zoo. Places like Batu Secret Zoo, Batu Night Spectacular, and Hawai Waterpark Malang provided exciting entertainment, while Kampoeng Heritage Kajoetangan and the museum broadened our knowledge. Culinary specialties like Bakso President, Soto Ayam Lombok Malang, and Malang Strudel also played a significant role in making the trip even more memorable.

 

Overall, this trip to Malang was very enjoyable and full of interesting experiences. The diverse destinations we visited offered a combination of entertainment, education, and culinary delights.  This trip was a memorable moment because we could enjoy various sides of Malang City before returning to Balikpapan.

The journey started from Samarinda with the destination of the Derawan Islands, a tourist destination well known for its clear sea and beautiful natural scenery. Although the trip was quite long and tiring, the atmosphere remained enjoyable because it was filled with conversations, laughter, and excitement to reach the destination.
