The historical aspect of the city shines through Lawang Sewu and the Old Town area. Lawang Sewu displays the grandeur of colonial architecture that maintains its authenticity. Every corner of this building provides educational visual insights for history enthusiasts. The journey then shifts to Gedong Songo Temple in the highlands, which offers clean and fresh mountain air, providing a perfect contrast to the bustle of the city center.

 

The main highlight of this visit is the Sego Des Nami Restaurant. This place successfully proves that high quality does not always have to be expensive. The food prices at this restaurant are very affordable with authentic flavors. The main advantage lies in its vast and refreshing green landscape. The journey started from Samarinda to Tanjung Batu by land, which took quite a long time, but it never felt tiring thanks to the beautiful natural scenery of East Kalimantan along the way.
