My trip to Derawan Island was one of the best trips I have ever experienced. I spent five days there with my friends, enjoying the sea, the islands, and many fun activities. Derawan Island is well known for its clear water and beautiful marine life, and visiting this place made me understand why many people love it.
On the first day, I traveled with Yasmin and Fahri. We met at Berambai and continued our journey to Sangatta. The trip was quite long, so we stopped to eat at Warung Hailam Acim before continuing. After that, we went to Tanjung Batu Harbor and took a speedboat to Derawan Island. When we arrived, I felt excited seeing the clear blue sea for the first time. We checked in at the inn, had lunch, and spent the afternoon swimming. At night, we had dinner together and enjoyed a beach night together. Sitting by the beach with friends made the first day feel very special.
The second day was guided by Joe. After having breakfast at the cottage, we started island hopping. We visited Sangalaki Island, then continued to Kakaban Island. Walking around Kakaban Island was very enjoyable because the scenery was calm and beautiful. After that, we went to Maratua Island and had lunch there. In the afternoon, we returned to Derawan Island and had free time. At night, we had dinner at the inn, walked along the beach, played some mini games, and then took a nap.
On the third day, Raihan Davindra accompanied us. After breakfast, we went snorkeling in Derawan. This was one of my favorite moments because the underwater view was very clear and full of colorful fish. We also visited a local fishing village, which helped me learn more about the daily life of the local people. After lunch, we went to another snorkeling spot. In the afternoon, we returned to the cottage and prepared for fishing. After fishing, we had free time, dinner, and ended the day with a bonfire on the beach. That night felt warm and fun.
On the fourth day, Leon guided us. We started the day with breakfast, then spent our time doing free activities. We took photos and videos around Derawan Island for documentation. After lunch, we relaxed at the cottage and swam at the nearby beach. In the evening, we went back to the cottage and started tidying up our belongings. We had a farewell dinner, followed by free time and mini games before resting.
On the last day, Raihan Kurniawan accompanied us. After breakfast, we checked out from the inn and took a speedboat to Tanjung Batu Harbor. We continued the journey to Kota Bangun and took a short break. After that, we had lunch in Tenggarong and continued our trip to Samarinda, Lambung Mangkurat. Finally, we parted ways on Jalan Lambung Mangkurat, and the trip officially ended.
Overall, my trip to Derawan Island was a very meaningful experience for me. I enjoyed every moment, from snorkeling to spending time with friends on the beach. This trip gave me many unforgettable memories and made me appreciate the beauty of nature in Indonesia even more.
