The Derawan Islands are a group of tropical islands located in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. For a long time, Derawan had been one of my travel wishlists because of its famous marine life and breathtaking natural scenery. Finally, I had the opportunity to visit this beautiful destination. During the trip, I explored several islands, including Derawan Island, Sangalaki, Kakaban, and Maratua. Each island offered different experiences that made the journey even more exciting and meaningful.

 

Throughout the journey, I truly enjoyed every moment and activity. I explored the islands, walked along the beaches, observed the local community, and admired the clear blue sea. Sangalaki and Kakaban impressed me with their peaceful atmosphere and untouched natural beauty. Kakaban was especially unique because of its natural environment that felt calm and refreshing. Maratua became my favorite destination because of its stunning scenery, crystal-clear water, and relaxing ambiance. Derawan Island itself was also very enjoyable, as it provided a calm environment that made me feel comfortable and relaxed.

 


This trip made me realize how rich and beautiful Indonesia’s natural tourism destinations are. Because the Derawan Islands had been on my wishlist for a long time, I appreciated every place I visited even more. I felt very happy and grateful to finally experience the beauty of Derawan directly. Being there helped me escape from daily routines, refresh my mind, and enjoy the tranquility that these islands offer. The journey was not only enjoyable but also meaningful, as it created unforgettable memories.

 

In conclusion, visiting the Derawan Islands was a wonderful and memorable experience. The combination of beautiful landscapes, peaceful surroundings, and enjoyable activities made the trip very special for me. I truly enjoyed every destination because Derawan was one of my dream travel places. I would highly recommend the Derawan Islands to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, refreshing, and unforgettable island vacation.

The journey started from Samarinda to Tanjung Batu by land, which took quite a long time, but it never felt tiring thanks to the beautiful natural scenery of East Kalimantan along the way. From Tanjung Batu Port, we continued the trip by speedboat to Derawan Island, and the moment we were out at sea, the clear blue water and tropical atmosphere immediately set the mood for an unforgettable trip.   Derawan Island made a great first impression. The beach was clean, the sand was white, and the seawater was incredibly clear. I really enjoyed spending time swimming, snorkeling, and simply relaxing by the beach. The journey started from Samarinda with the destination of the Derawan Islands, a tourist destination well known for its clear sea and beautiful natural scenery.
