The trip I joined with GoWander ID took me to Derawan Island, one of the most famous marine destinations in East Kalimantan. This five-day journey offered a well-organized and enjoyable travel experience, combining beautiful seascapes with a calm island atmosphere. From the beginning of the trip, everything felt exciting and created a strong sense of anticipation to explore Derawan Island and its surrounding islands.

 

Throughout the journey, GoWander ID arranged a variety of interesting activities. One of the highlights was island hopping to Sangalaki, Kakaban, and Maratua. Each island had its own charm, from crystal-clear seawater and peaceful beaches to the unique experience of swimming with non-stinging jellyfish in Kakaban Lake. In addition, there was ample time to explore Derawan Island itself, enjoying simple activities such as walking along the beach, playing in the water, feeling the sea breeze, and watching the sunset.

 

Overall, this trip was a very pleasant and relaxing experience. The itinerary was well managed, allowing participants to enjoy each destination without feeling rushed. The comfortable atmosphere created during the trip made it more than just a vacation; it became an opportunity to unwind, reconnect with nature, and create meaningful memories.

 

In conclusion, the trip to Derawan Island with GoWander ID was a memorable and satisfying travel experience. The natural beauty, well-planned activities, and enjoyable atmosphere made this journey truly special. The journey started from Samarinda to Tanjung Batu by land, which took quite a long time, but it never felt tiring thanks to the beautiful natural scenery of East Kalimantan along the way. From Tanjung Batu Port, we continued the trip by speedboat to Derawan Island, and the moment we were out at sea, the clear blue water and tropical atmosphere immediately set the mood for an unforgettable trip.   Derawan Island made a great first impression.
