Visiting the Derawan Islands was one of the most memorable travel experiences I have ever had. The journey started from Samarinda to Tanjung Batu by land, which took quite a long time, but it never felt tiring thanks to the beautiful natural scenery of East Kalimantan along the way. From Tanjung Batu Port, we continued the trip by speedboat to Derawan Island, and the moment we were out at sea, the clear blue water and tropical atmosphere immediately set the mood for an unforgettable trip.

 

Derawan Island made a great first impression. The beach was clean, the sand was white, and the seawater was incredibly clear. I really enjoyed spending time swimming, snorkeling, and simply relaxing by the beach. Staying in a beachside cottage was a big plus, as it allowed me to enjoy the ocean view and fresh sea breeze at any time of the day.

 

Island hopping was definitely the highlight of the trip for me. Sangalaki Island felt very peaceful and untouched, with stunning underwater scenery. Seeing sea turtles and manta rays in their natural habitat was an amazing experience and also a reminder of how important marine conservation is. Kakaban Island was the most unique destination, where I had the rare chance to swim in a lake filled with non-stinging jellyfish. This experience felt truly special and unlike anything I had ever done before.

 

Maratua Island was equally impressive, with its beautiful lagoon, turquoise waters, and serene atmosphere. I spent time swimming, relaxing, and simply enjoying the breathtaking views. Visiting a local fishing village also gave me a deeper appreciation of coastal life and the warm hospitality of the local community.

 

Snorkeling around Derawan Island was absolutely incredible, with colorful coral reefs and a wide variety of tropical fish. Fishing activities added a fun and adventurous touch to the trip. In the evenings, sharing fresh seafood and enjoying a beachside BBQ created a warm, friendly atmosphere and made the experience even more memorable.

 

Overall, my trip to the Derawan Islands was an unforgettable experience that offered the perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, and natural beauty. I would highly recommend this destination to anyone looking for a stunning marine getaway with unique experiences and peaceful surroundings.

Overall the text is good enough, but in some places it feels a bit long and the descriptions are similar, especially when describing the beauty of the beach and the sea. This can feel a bit repetitive. Furthermore, the author could have added a bit of personal emotion, such as awe, joy, or emotion, to make the story better.

In my opinion, this text is good because it is clear and well organized, and it describes the beauty of the Derawan Islands well. However, the writer could add more personal experiences to make the text more interesting and memorable.

The descriptions of the destinations are vivid and help the reader imagine the beauty of the Derawan Islands. However, in some parts the descriptions of natural scenery—such as the clear water, white sand, and beautiful views—feel slightly repetitive and could be shortened to make the text more concise. In addition, the story would be even more engaging if the writer added stronger personal feelings or reflections, such as excitement, amazement, or gratitude, to deepen the emotional connection with the reader.
