Some time ago, I joined a five-day trip to Derawan Island with GoWander ID, starting from Samarinda. This trip was accompanied by several tour guides who guided us on different days, making the journey more organized and well managed. The tour included visits to several famous islands around Derawan, such as Sangalaki Island, Kakaban Island, and Maratua Island. Overall, this trip provided an enjoyable travel experience filled with natural beauty and unforgettable moments.
During the trip, each tour guide from GoWander ID had their own role in ensuring the journey went smoothly. On the first day, Yasmin and Fahri guided us on the way to Derawan and helped manage the participants very well. On the second day, Joe guided the island-hopping trip to Sangalaki, Kakaban, and Maratua Islands. At these destinations, we enjoyed beautiful beaches, a unique jellyfish lake, and stunning sea views. On the third and fourth days, Reihan Davindra and Leon guided us while exploring Derawan Island, allowing us to experience local life and relax by the beach.
Although the sea travel between islands was quite tiring due to long distances and strong waves, the trip was still very enjoyable. The natural beauty of each island made the long journey feel worth it. The tour guides from GoWander ID were friendly, helpful, and responsible, which created a comfortable atmosphere among the participants. The visit to Kakaban Island was especially impressive because of its jellyfish lake, while Maratua Island offered breathtaking sea views that left a strong impression.
The five-day trip to Derawan Island with GoWander ID was a valuable and memorable experience. With the help of Yasmin, Fahri, Joe, Reihan Davindra, Leon, and Rayhan Kurniawan as tour guides, the trip ran well and was enjoyable. This trip is highly recommended for travelers who love marine tourism and natural beauty. Even though the journey was long, it ended with wonderful memories before returning to Samarinda.
