After visiting Labuan Bajo, I realized that the beauty of a trip isn't just about the destination, but the people you share it with. Our adventure began on

Day 1 with a smooth transition coordinated by Redina, who handled our departure from Balikpapan to Surabaya. Upon arriving in Surabaya, Sibel, took over to ensure our flight to Labuan Bajo was seamless. Once we touched down in the Land of Dragons, Adel, led the way to our hotel to drop off our bags before taking us for an authentic culinary experience. We ended our first night with a delicious dinner at Kampung Ujung, enjoying fresh seafood by the waterfront under the night sky.

 

Day 2 was the heart of our expedition, filled with iconic landmarks. Baihaqi guided us through the legendary Komodo Island, where we stood in awe of the ancient dragons in their natural habitat, followed by a relaxing and upscale atmosphere at Atlantis for a change of pace. The excitement continued as Redina took the lead again, guiding us to the mesmerizing Pink Beach. We spent the afternoon soaking in the unique rosy sands before embarking on the challenging but rewarding trek up Padar Island. Standing at the summit, overlooking the three colorful bays, was a moment of pure magic that we will never forget.

 

Our final day, Day 3, was all about cultural immersion and saying goodbye, organized thoughtfully by Wahyu. We explored the mystical limestone formations of Batu Cermin cave, feeling like true explorers. Before heading back, Wahyu took us to the Local Market to hunt for authentic souvenirs, ensuring we had a piece of Labuan Bajo to take home with us. From the start of the trip until we finally landed back in Balikpapan, every moment felt perfectly curated. It wasn't just a vacation; it was a beautifully shared story between friends.

The journey started from Samarinda with the destination of the Derawan Islands, a tourist destination well known for its clear sea and beautiful natural scenery.
